Het boeket van Dalem is complex, subtiel en uitnodigend. Aangename toetsen van zwarte bessen gevolgd door toetsen van krijt en rijping zoals chocolade en karamel. Charmant, fris en uitgebreid in de mond. Intens fruitig en een krijtsmaak geven karakter. De fijne en krachtige tannines verzekeren een lekkere wijn.

Deep purple-black in colour, the 2020 Dalem leaps from the glass with notes of ripe black cherries, juicy blackberries and stewed plums, plus suggestions of garrigue, star anise and chocolate mint. The 2020 Dalem has a well-defined bouquet of blackberry, raspberry, cedar and light undergrowth scents, all very focused and beautifully delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, ripe but elegant, with plenty of freshness toward the finish. There is an effervescent quality about this nascent Fronsac that I love. A super Dalem that will age with style.

Pourpre violacé. Beaucoup de finesse et de subtilité dans ce bouquet avec une excellente harmonie entre l’intensité fruitée et la minéralité du terroir. Caractère friand et crémeux en bouche. Les tannins se révèlent lentement et sont crémeux. Ils sont dotés d’une belle finesse de grain et assurent les arrières conjointement avec la structure acide. Finale fruitée et persistante. Un vin sapide, sérieux et convaincant.

A little austere, this takes some time to work into itself in the glass but it is enjoyable once it relaxes and opens, offering damson fruit and wet stone texture. A yield of 35hl/ha. I loved the 2020 Château Dalem, and this serious Fronsac should rank with the top wines from the appellation. Ample red and black fruits, tobacco, crushed stone, and background oak all comprise the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied and offers richness paired with elegance, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. Tasted multiple times.

Couleur sombre, intense et pourpre. Nez moyennement intense, au fruité mûr. Caressant à l’attaque, nuancé en milieu de bouche, avec une construction allongée, le vin se développe agréable, savoureux, vers une bonne longueur sans angle tannique.
