Beschrijving

Een diepe, briljante kleur met paarse accenten. Een complexe, genuanceerde neus met toetsen van viooltjes, zwarte bessen, bramen en mara de bois (aardbeien). Na even luchten onthult het boeket frisse aroma's van bloemen, specerijen, gesneden kruiden en witte peper, met een vleugje rook, zoethout en espresso textuur en diepte. Een aanhoudende afdronk van kruiden en geroosterde bramen rondt de proeverij af.

Cultuur/bodem: perceelsgericht beheer van bodem en wijngaard. Geïntegreerde bestrijding en respect voor het ecologisch evenwicht. 100% van de gebruikte producten zijn goedgekeurd voor biologische landbouw of biocontrole. Hoge Milieuwaarde certificering (HVE 3). Oogst: handmatig. Vinificatie: per perceel in betonnen, houten en roestvrijstalen vaten. Rijping: 16 maanden in Franse eiken vaten.

Fruit noir écrasé, touche de lavande, c'est joliment séducteur, comme à l'habitude. La bouche est bien centrée, sur une maturité maîtrisée. Les tanins sont légèrement grillés, apportant une touche d'austérité à ce stade mais le vin se déroule en droiture, porté par une jolie fraîcheur. C'est une bonne interprétation du millésime.

Sumptuous and svelte, this has a nice sleek core with a smooth texture - clean fruit offset by present, grippy and fleshy tannins that coat the whole mouth. Fruit feels ripe and well worked and this has shots of cool freshness and nice balancing acidity. Clean and stylish with purity, length and lots to like and where the ample tannins combine with serious juiciness that gives energy and focus. A great wine from Margaux and consistently good quality from this estate run by Ludovic David. Julien Viaud consultant. The finest vintage to date from this château, the 2022 Château Marquis De Terme checks in as 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot, all of which is resting in 50% new French oak. This terroir can often yield a more foursquare wine, yet director Ludovic David has done a great job over the past decade, and the wines today show much more finesse and elegance. Sporting a deep purple hue as well as terrific notes of pure cassis, blueberries, flowers, and spicy oak, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a pure, layered mouthfeel, and solid, building tannins. It's a terrific Margaux. Tasted twice.

Sous la direction de Ludovic David, parti l’été dernier, Marquis de Terme a beaucoup gagné en densité et en consistance, et il le fallait. Il est devenu réellement un vrai margaux en 2022, par sa suavité et une vinification à température plus basse, ce qui lui apporte beaucoup de charme.

De oorsprong van deze cru gaat terug tot de 15e eeuw, maar het kreeg zijn naam pas in 1762 door François de Péguilhan, markies van Terme. De familie Sénéclauze bezit het domein sinds 1935. In 2009 werd Ludovic David aangesteld om het domein te beheren. Deze verandering betekende het begin van een nieuw tijdperk voor dit domein van 40 hectare gelegen op het kiezelachtige terroir dat typisch is voor de Margaux appellatie. Talrijke innovaties en een nieuwe dynamiek werden geïntroduceerd om het beste te halen uit het uitzonderlijke terroir van de Marquis de Terme wijnen. Het domein combineert op uitmuntende wijze de nauwgezetheid van het werk en de eeuwenoude knowhow met creativiteit, lichtheid en openheid van geest. De teams van het landgoed zijn toegewijd aan het produceren van uitzonderlijke wijnen en het promoten van de geest van Marquis de Terme.
